We hope to add some thanksgiving pages to our notebooks.
I just found this really neat freebie from teacher created resources (normally the lessons/activities are written for a classroom but can easily be adapted for a home setting).
It's a thanksgiving freebie. It offers a little thanksgiving history (we are reading living books so we probably will not use it) but I loved the last page, it's a nice picture of a turkey (clipart style) great for coloring, writing on it's feathers (which is suggested) or even labeling the parts of a turkey. You can use it anyway you want too!
Scroll down to the "Thanksgiving" section. It's the free activity from their book "TCR0258 Thanksgiving Thematic Unit"
http://www.teachercreated.com/free/activities.phpThey also have some fun activities/facts about thanksgiving free from their book" TCR2058 Celebrate the Holidays, Grades 1-3" too.
I love freebies because it allows you to "try" out a publisher/company/method without spending a lot of $ to find it just isn't for your family/child.
